Whatsapp New Feature: Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature which was till now seen in Instagram. Under this update, users will be able to save their status in draft, so that it can be completed and posted later. Currently this feature has been released for some selected beta users.
First chat, now draft feature in status
Recently WhatsApp had given the option to save drafts for chats so that incompletely written messages can be easily identified. This helped users to remember which message is yet to be sent. Now WhatsApp is preparing to implement this idea in its Status section also.
You will get the option to save while creating status.
According to the report of WABetaInfo, some beta testers are seeing a new option in the status editor. Through this, if a user is creating a status with text, sticker, drawing or photo and is not able to complete it immediately, then he can save it as a draft and start again from there later.
There will be no loss if work stops midway
This feature is especially useful for those people who get busy in some work while creating their status or like to prepare their post thoughtfully. Now incomplete status will not be deleted even by mistake.
No need to send messages to yourself
Till now, if a user wanted to save an edited photo or an incomplete caption, he had to send it himself in the chat. After the new update, the status editor itself will become a kind of workspace, where drafts can be saved without posting.
Safety option will be available even after pressing back button
It has been told in the report that a save button will be given above the status editor. Tapping on this will save the draft. At the same time, if the user wants to go out by pressing the back button, then WhatsApp can ask him whether he wants to delete the status or save it as a draft.
Not for all users yet
Currently this feature is in the testing phase and is not available for all users. WhatsApp is testing its stability on different devices. It is expected that it can be rolled out on a large scale in the coming weeks.
