WWDC 2026 Apple iOS 27 Update: Apple’s new and smarter Siri, which has been in discussion for a long time, can now finally be revealed with major changes. According to reports, the company is preparing to completely upgrade Siri in iOS 27 to make it an advanced AI tool. This time, not only small improvements but many big features can be seen.
You will get strength from Google Gemini
Apple had announced a partnership with Google this year under which Gemini AI will be added to Siri and Apple Intelligence features. It is likely that the impact of this partnership will be clearly visible for the first time in WWDC 2026. It is being told that Google has prepared a special AI model for Apple which can be of Gemini 3 level. This will make Siri smarter and faster than before.
Siri may also have a separate app
According to reports, Apple is working on a new standalone Siri app. This app can work like other AI chatbots. Users will be able to turn on or off the voice mode and will also be able to upload photos or documents. Additionally, you can also get the option to view chat history and search old conversations.
Now Siri will do your work herself
The new Siri will not be limited to just answering questions but will work like an AI agent. It will be able to control many features of iPhone and Mac and will respond according to your needs. Like giving personalized suggestions by taking information from messages, notes and emails. Apart from this, it will also be able to complete tasks inside apps, search the web and even show news.
Siri can replace Spotlight
Apple is planning to remove its existing search system Spotlight and replace it with Siri. This means that in the coming time, the entire way of searching inside the phone may change and Siri may become your main search tool.
Now many AI chatbots will be supported
ChatGPT is currently used in Siri but this may change with iOS 27. Apple may introduce a new Extension System through which users will be able to use different AI chatbots like Claude, Gemini or Grok with Siri. For this, a special section like AI App Store can also be provided from where users will be able to add new AI tools.
When will it be launched?
Apple can announce all these new features at the WWDC event to be held in June 2026. However, users will get this update with iOS 27 which is usually released with the new iPhone launch in September. If all these updates come, then Siri will not remain just a voice assistant but will become a powerful AI companion which will make your daily tasks easier.
