If you are waiting for Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models, then there is good news for you. According to latest reports, the company has started test production of both these models. This is usually late stage manufacturing testing, which is done before the phone is released. In this, instead of the entire assembly line, Apple runs some parts of it and checks the quality of the finished product.
What does this mean for customers?
The start of test production means that the company is planning to launch the iPhone 18 Pro models in September, while people will have to wait till March next year for the standard variant of the iPhone 18. According to reports, in production testing, the company is specifically testing the new A20 Pro processor and the mechanical variable aperture on the main camera. It is being said that mass production of 18 Pro models will start in the next one-two months and they will be launched in the market in September.
iPhone 18 Pro models will be launched in new color options
Apple can launch iPhone 18 Pro models in new and different looking color options. So far the company has tested Brown, Purple and Red and out of these Red has almost been finalized. This red may be a little darker than the red color seen on the iPhone so far and it may get a shade of red wine, which will look different like cosmic orange.
These big upgrades will be available in 18 Pro models
iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max can be given many major upgrades including the new A20 Pro processor built on 2 nm process, under-display FaceID, main camera with variable aperture and Apple’s biggest battery ever in the Pro Max model. There are also speculations that the size of the dynamic island will be reduced in the upcoming model.
