Check the traffic before leaving home
If there is a problem of traffic jam in your city, then you can see the traffic situation on your route even before leaving home. For this, open Google Maps and turn on the traffic layer. After this, if you see red road then understand that there is a jam, whereas green means that the road is completely clear.
Incognito mode will also be useful
If you use incognito mode, Google Maps will not save your search and route in your account history. To turn it on, tap on the profile picture and turn on incognito mode.
Long press to drop pin
If you want to pin any location on the map, select it and long press it. From here you can share or save this location. Once the location is pinned, you will not have to enter its address every time.
offline map
If you want to go on such routes where there may be mobile network problems, then you can also download the offline version of Google Maps. There is no need of internet in this version. To download offline maps, open Maps and tap on your profile picture. Here you will see the option of offline maps. From here you can cover the area as per your need.
