YouTube AI Tool: At the annual YouTube Impact Summit, the platform introduced several advanced AI features, skill-building programs and safety tools. Along with this, a new report by Oxford Economics also revealed that last year, YouTube’s creative ecosystem contributed more than Rs 16,000 crore to India’s GDP and created employment equivalent to about 9.3 lakh full-time jobs.

According to Gunjan Soni, Managing Director of YouTube India, the impact of the platform goes beyond views and strengthens people’s livelihoods and economic growth. According to them, 63% of monetizing creators consider YouTube as their main source of income. For this reason, the company is bringing new AI tools, skill training and strategic partnerships so that the upcoming digital entrepreneurs can get a better foundation.

Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Annapurna Devi welcomed this effort of YouTube. He said that such platforms play an important role in increasing reliable information, digital literacy and economic freedom. Two major partnerships for India’s knowledge sector
98% of users in India consider YouTube as a reliable medium to get information. Keeping this in mind, two important partnerships have been made.
Creative Skills Training with IICT:
YouTube will now collaborate with the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies to prepare students in Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics and XR. This includes expert sessions, AI based project funding and collaboration in enhancing IICT’s YouTube presence.
Professional Nursing Training with AIIMS:
Under the partnership with AIIMS, nursing students across the country will now be able to learn important medical skills like wound treatment, infection control from expert-designed modules on YouTube.
New AI features for both Viewer and Creator
YouTube has added a new Conversational AI feature to the video player where users will be able to ask questions while watching videos and get instant answers. Currently it is available in English, Hindi will be released soon. Apart from this, the platform has also added many more features.
