Samsung Galaxy Watches: There is about a week left for Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. In this, the company will also launch Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 along with new foldable phones. All the information about the watches has been leaked even before the launch. According to the leak, Samsung’s new watches are going to get new chipsets and bigger batteries. Let’s take a look at what upgrades are coming to the Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Samsung said this about new watches
Samsung says that the Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be AI powered health companion devices, which will have all new internal parts. Apart from providing new chipset and larger battery pack, they have also been made energy efficient.
These features leaked before launch
According to the latest leak, Samsung will no longer use in-house Exynos chips for watches. It is being replaced with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite processor SW6100. This chipset is made on 3nm process and has 5 computing cores. The new processor will improve performance as well as power efficiency. Depending on the model, this chipset will be paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage. In terms of connectivity, all models will come with Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual band WiFi support and will run on Samsung’s One UI Watch 9.0. All models of Watch 9 will be launched with aluminum case.
This improvement will happen in the battery
If the leak is to be believed, the size of Galaxy Watch 9 will be 40mm and it will have a 325mAh battery pack like the current model. The battery is being upgraded in its 44mm variant. It will get a new battery of 445mAh capacity instead of the existing 435mAh pack. In comparison, the Ultra model is being brought with great upgrades. Ultra 2 will be equipped with an 800mAh battery pack instead of the 590mAh battery pack of the current model. This watch will come with titanium and can offer water resistance up to 100 meters underwater.
How much can the price be?
The official price of Samsung Watches will be known at the time of launch, but it is believed that the starting price of Watch 9 can be around Rs 45,000 and the price of its bigger variant can be around Rs 48,400. Whereas for Watch Ultra 2, customers may have to pay approximately Rs 82,500.
