According to reports, no method is working against this bug of Gmail. A user wrote on Google Support Forum that when I am trying to open the email, the screen starts flickering and the email is not being read. I even tried force stop, clearing cache and restarting the tablet. Even after updating this issue is not getting fixed. Another user wrote that when I am opening email on the tablet, the screen is going blank. There is no such problem on the phone.
Samsung devices are most affected
Samsung devices are being affected more due to the bug in Gmail. According to reports, users using some foldable phones including Samsung tablets and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are facing more problems. Experts say that this problem is occurring due to Android system webview. Google has been informed about this, but till now no statement or fix of the issue has come from the company regarding this.

This issue has not been fixed by Google yet. But if you want to read emails then some methods may be useful for you. Method 1: Switch your device from portrait mode to landscape and then back to portrait mode. This can also be done by enabling the auto-rotate feature. After enabling this feature, try your device in both modes. Apart from this, clear the cache of Android system webview and update it. It is being told that this is the reason why this bug is creating the problem.
